What is IELTS?

IELTS Exam Test Structure

IELTS Listening Section

30 minutes, 40 questions
Score Range: Band 1-9

The IELTS Listening test consists of four sections, each with 1 recording. Each recording has ten questions. The IELTS test taker can only hear the recording once.

IELTS Speaking Section

11-14 minutes, 3 questions
Score Range: Band 1-9

The IELTS Speaking test consists of 3 parts and this test is recorded for each IELTS candidate. It is a face-to-face interview with the examiner.

IELTS Reading Academic Section

60 minutes, 40 questions
Score Range: Band 1-9

The IELTS Academic Reading test consists of 3 texts and the topics of these passages cover general topics that range from factual to analytical.

IELTS Writing Academic Section

60 minutes, 2 questions
Score Range: Band 1-9

50 questions will be the application of generic nursing competencies to the specific field of nursing being applied for, for example, adult, child, learning disability or mental health nursing.

20 questions will focus solely on the specific competencies required for the field of nursing being applied for.

Nurses seeking registration in the UK should ensure they have read and understand the requirements for registering as a nurse in the UK before starting the application process. Once the NMC has told you that you need to take the test of competence, you can book your CBT with Pearson VUE

  4. Someone gave me their Link,hence I registered and I was called,so during the process of testing,they asked me how many bed I have in my facility,I told then 6,they said it must be up to 100,hence that I’m not qualified.and they could not continue with the test

  5. I was called by this agency but test could not continue because I told them that I worked in a medical center which is 6 bed,they said they require 100beds,hence the process of testing was discontinued
