Many have spent their time, efforts and money, on tuition fees and other necessities, only to discover that their institution was not accredited – Do not be a victim of such circumstances.
Nursing as a science grounds on the knowledge of human behavior which adduces changes in the ecosystem, and can be monitored through the utilization of scientific methods and inquiries whilst enabling healthcare interventions in individuals, families, groups, and communities at all levels of human organization. Recent health care demands require forensic and innovative approaches to professional methods and an annex of procedural interpretation that is responsive to the ever dynamics in the health needs of society.
Out of the 236 Nursing institutions in Nigeria, only 182 are accredited by the Nursing & Midwifery Council Of Nigeria. From this number of accredited institutions, Osun State houses nine (9) of them.
A Nursing institution may have a provincial accreditation that lasts for two years, while others have a full accreditation spanning for five years. If an institution is not accredited, this means that the school lacks the necessary education facilities or does not reach the standard requirements to function as a school of Nursing.
